Solex Energy Shares Surge Over 13% on FY28 Revenue Target
Solex Energy shares surged more than 13% on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, as investors reacted to the company’s strong revenue guidance for the financial year 2028. The solar module maker announced a revenue potential of ₹4,500 crore by FY28 and an order visibility of ₹3,400 crore for the upcoming period following its 12th annual general meeting on September 22. The rally was driven by the market’s focus on the firm’s robust order book and its expansion plans across the renewable energy value chain.
NSE data showed the shares touching an intraday high of ₹770, up 13.4% from the previous close of ₹678.95. After the peak, the stock retraced some gains and closed the session 6.1% higher at ₹720. Trading volumes exceeded 6.55 lakh shares, a 13.19‑fold increase over the prior week’s average of 49,698 shares. The volume surge, 17.22 times the two‑week average of 38,075 shares, underscored the heightened investor interest following the revenue outlook.
Solex’s FY28 target hinges on capital deployment, execution and technology investments aimed at creating a more integrated and resilient business model. Management highlighted the expansion’s intent to provide greater control across the value chain and to meet evolving customer requirements. The company is also moving beyond its established solar module business toward an integrated renewable energy platform that includes solar cells, modules and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
The firm plans to develop capabilities for 10 GWh of battery pack and container assembly, with the first 5 GWh phase targeted for FY29. An investment plan of ₹4,000 crore between FY27 and FY30 will support the roadmap, which includes establishing 2.2 GW of solar cell capacity by FY28, scaling to 5.2 GW by early FY29, and launching the initial BESS phase by FY29 before further expansion.
On the global front, Solex Europe and Solex USA will pursue long‑term customer partnerships and aim to position the company as a trusted Indian solar manufacturing brand in international markets. The company’s market capitalisation stood at ₹786 crore as of the Wednesday trading session. Over the last five market sessions, the stock has delivered more than 9% returns to investors, despite a 55% decline over the past year and a 46% year‑to‑date drop.
In the longer term, Solex Energy shares have gained 1,777% over the last five years and delivered over 52% returns in the last three years. The stock has declined 6.7% in the last month. The company’s focus on integrated renewable solutions and substantial capital investment is expected to underpin its projected revenue growth and order visibility for FY28 and beyond.
