Trent Q2FY27 Revenue and Profit Likely to Grow Double Digit Amid Store Expansion
Trent, the parent of Zudio and Westside, is scheduled to announce its Q2FY27 results on Thursday, October 29. The company’s business update released earlier this week already indicates a year‑on‑year revenue rise of roughly 20 percent. Analysts anticipate that the addition of new stores will translate into double‑digit growth in net profit. The focus remains on same‑store sales performance and margin expansion as key indicators of the company’s operational health.
In the Q2FY27 business update, Trent reported standalone revenue of ₹5,788 crore, up about 20 percent year‑on‑year. Its total store count stood at 1,342 across Westside, Zudio and other lifestyle formats. During the quarter, the company opened 17 Zudio and 10 Westside stores. In the first half of FY27, Trent revenue stood at ₹11,454 crore, up 21 percent year‑on‑year.
Experts predict that Trent could report standalone revenue growth of 20 to 23 percent year‑on‑year, ranging between ₹5,690 and ₹5,780 crore. The company registered revenue of ₹4,818 crore in Q2FY26, while it stood at ₹5,755 crore in the previous quarter. Trent’s net profit could see double‑digit growth, aided by new store openings and an improvement in same‑store sales. The company’s net profit was ₹373 crore in the September quarter of FY26 and ₹518 crore in the previous quarter.
Investors will look for key performance metrics such as same‑store sales growth and EBITDA margins. Management commentary on future growth, the overall demand outlook and the store expansion strategy across metros and smaller cities will also be closely watched. Ahead of the Q2 results, Trent shares closed 3.3 percent higher at ₹2,914 on Wednesday, October 28. The stock has been largely flat this year, up 2.1 percent so far in 2026.
Trent heads into its results on a strong note. The rally has pushed Trent back above both its 20‑day EMA and 50‑day EMA. The two averages are almost level. The 20‑day EMA has been slightly below the 50‑day EMA since late August, but it has now started to turn up. A crossover would add to the positive signs. Meanwhile, the Directional Movement Index (DMI) shows buyers have just regained an edge. The ADX at 22.8 has been easing. So the trend is improving, but it is not yet strong.
The options market expects a move of about ±7.4 percent by expiry in Trent, which puts the expected range at roughly ₹2,709 to ₹3,141. The options strategy for Trent Q2 results suggests a short straddle if the stock is expected to stay in a range, with profit if it remains between roughly ₹2,684 and ₹3,116 until the November expiry. A long straddle could be considered if a sharp move is expected, with profit if Trent falls below roughly ₹2,684 or rises above ₹3,116 by expiry. However, the cost is high and option premiums usually fall after the results, so a large move is required for this trade to work.
