Reliance Industries Sets October 30 for Q2 FY27 Results; NCD Fundraise on Board Agenda
Reliance Industries (RIL) has announced that it will release its financial results for the September quarter (Q2 FY27) on Friday, 30 October 2026. The announcement was made in a stock‑exchange filing on Tuesday evening, and the board of directors will consider and approve the standalone and consolidated unaudited financial results for the quarter and the half‑year ended 30 September 2026. The company will also hold an analyst meeting after the board meeting to discuss its performance for the quarter and half‑year.
On the same agenda, the board will consider raising funds through the issuance of listed, secured or unsecured, redeemable non‑convertible debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis, in one or more tranches. The proposal is part of RIL’s broader capital‑raising strategy and will be evaluated alongside the financial results. The company has not yet disclosed the terms or timing of the potential NCD issue, but the board’s approval would enable a flexible funding option for future investments strategic.
The timing of the results announcement follows the ₹30,213 crore initial public offering (IPO) of Jio Platforms, which closed on 23 October and is scheduled to list on 28 October. The release coincides with the IPO and listing of the telecom and digital services subsidiary, although RIL has not officially linked the later results date to these events. The Jio Platforms unit, which reported record EBITDA of ₹20,865 crore in the April‑June quarter, continues to drive growth with a 533‑million subscriber base and expanding technology‑investment revenues.
Reliance Industries reported record quarterly core profit and EBITDA for the June quarter (Q1 FY27), powered by strong performances across its oil‑to‑chemicals and telecom businesses. Consolidated revenue rose 25.4% year‑on‑year to ₹3.12 lakh crore, while EBITDA climbed 10.1% to a record ₹54,067 crore on a recurring basis after stripping out a one‑off ₹8,924 crore gain from the sale of listed investments in the year‑ago quarter. Profit after tax (PAT) rose 6.1% to a record ₹23,196 crore, but including that one‑time gain in the year‑ago base, EBITDA was down 6.8% and PAT fell 22% year‑on‑year to ₹20,946 crore.
Core earnings in the oil‑to‑chemicals business, which includes twin refining assets and petrochemical plants, rose 17.2% from a year earlier. The telecom arm continued to be a key driver, reporting a core earnings growth of 15.1%, a 533‑million‑strong subscriber base and expanding revenues from technology investments. Retail operations were muted due to continued investment in digital commerce platforms. Profits in the April‑June quarter were also impacted by higher finance costs and depreciation following the capitalisation of 5G assets. Jio Platforms Ltd (JPL) reported record EBITDA of ₹20,865 crore, up 15.1% year‑on‑year, with margins expanding 150 basis points to 53.3%.
