Krsnaa Diagnostics Announces Collaboration with AZmed Amid Share Decline

On Thursday, Krsnaa Diagnostics Limited announced a strategic collaboration with global radiology AI innovator AZmed, a move that saw the company’s shares open in red, down 1% on a flat note. The partnership will evaluate AZmed’s AZtrauma solution, part of its Rayvolve AI suite, for detecting and triaging fractures, joint effusions and dislocations on X‑ray images. The announcement came amid a broader market sell‑off that has left the shares in a lacklustre state.

Krsnaa Diagnostics operates diagnostics, pathology and teleradiology services across 19 states and union territories through a public‑private partnership model. Its extensive network includes over 190 CT scan centres, more than 2,700 X‑ray centres and 212 pathology laboratories. The company intends to leverage AZmed’s AI suite to improve operational efficiency and drive growth, aiming to enhance reporting capacity and scalability while serving more patients at affordable prices.

AZmed, a globally recognised medical imaging company, specialises in artificial intelligence solutions for radiology. Its Rayvolve solution became the first AI software to receive CE marking for fracture detection in X‑rays in 2019. To date, AZmed has processed 15 million images worldwide, underscoring the scale and importance of its technology in the diagnostic imaging sector for global diagnostic services.

Mr. Yash Mutha, Managing Director of Krsnaa Diagnostics, said the collaboration offers a significant opportunity to transform diagnostic services through healthcare AI. He added that integrating advanced AI technologies into high‑volume radiology operations will unlock operating leverage, enhance productivity, expand reporting capacity and build a more scalable operating model, enabling the company to serve more patients with best‑in‑class technology at highly affordable prices.

In 2026, Krsnaa Diagnostics shares have delivered subdued performance, falling 31% on a year‑to‑date basis and 37% over the trailing twelve months. In the short term, the shares have plunged 8.6% on a monthly basis. The recent collaboration announcement did not reverse the broader market sell‑off, and the shares remain in a lacklustre state amid widespread pessimism market.
