Eternal Q2FY27 Results Expected to Show Strong Revenue and Profit Growth
Eternal Ltd, the parent company of Zomato and Blinkit, will announce its September quarter earnings on Wednesday, October 21, after market hours. The company is anticipated to report robust Q2FY27 results, driven by improved margins, higher order values, market share gains, and Blinkit’s expanding store network. Analysts predict a significant lift in earnings, with investors keen to assess the company’s overall business outlook, rising competition, and the profitability of its quick‑commerce segment. The announcement follows a period of strong growth for the firm, particularly in the Blinkit business.
Revenue is projected to rise between 61% and 66% year‑on‑year, reaching a range of ₹21,900 crore to ₹22,630 crore, and to grow 8% to 12% quarter‑on‑quarter. This surge is expected to stem from market share gains in both food delivery and quick commerce. Eternal reported revenue of ₹13,590 crore in Q2FY26 and ₹20,211 crore in the previous quarter, underscoring the magnitude of the projected growth for the current quarter.
Net profit is forecast to climb sharply, by 390% to 490% year‑on‑year, to between ₹320 crore and ₹385 crore, largely due to the low base last year. On a sequential basis, profit could rise 250% to 320%. Eternal posted a net profit of ₹65 crore in Q2FY26 and ₹92 crore in the preceding quarter, highlighting the potential for a substantial earnings rebound in the current period.
During the results announcement, investors will scrutinise management commentary on the overall business outlook, rising competition, and the profitability of the quick‑commerce business. Key metrics such as gross order value (GOV) of the food delivery business and net order value (NOV) of Blinkit will be closely tracked, along with new dark store additions for Blinkit, to gauge operational performance and expansion pace.
Ahead of the Q2 results, Eternal shares closed marginally lower at ₹320 on Tuesday, October 20. The stock has gained over 15% so far this year, supported by strong growth in the Blinkit business. The share price has rallied about 37% from around ₹250 in June to a high near ₹344 in late September, before settling in a range between ₹311 and ₹332 since mid‑August.
Technical analysis shows Eternal is just below the 20‑day EMA and just above the 50‑day EMA, with the 20‑day EMA still above the 50‑day EMA, indicating an intact medium‑term uptrend that began in June. However, the two averages are now very close, signalling lost momentum, and the ADX has fallen to 14.7, implying no clear trend. Options markets expect a ±4.8% move by the October 27 expiry, placing the range roughly between ₹305 and ₹335, aligning with the chart’s support and resistance levels.
