Kalyan Jewellers Shares Jump Over 6% After Healthy Q2 Business Update

Kalyan Jewellers shares surged 6.02% on October 7, touching an intraday high of ₹581.20 per share, up from the previous close of ₹548.15. The rally followed the company’s filing of a healthy Q2 business update before the market opening bell, prompting investors to react positively ahead of the broader earnings season. The stock initially jumped more than 6% after the opening bell on Wednesday, reflecting strong market sentiment. Trading activity in the stock surpassed 15.7 million equity shares across NSE and BSE, driving the high‑volume gains recorded on that session.

After reaching the high, the share price retracted some gains to trade about 4.2% higher at ₹571.25 during the session, according to exchange data. The Q2 update covered the July‑September quarter of FY27, showing a consolidated revenue growth of over 26% versus the same period last year. In India, revenues rose 27% on the back of robust operating momentum and same‑store sales growth across all key markets, despite a high base from strong Navratri sales in FY26, when all nine Navaratri days fell within Q2.

The company reported same‑store sales growth of roughly 20% in Q2 FY27. Internationally, revenue grew about 18% in the period, with the Middle East posting approximately 12% growth compared with Q2 FY26, driven entirely by same‑store sales. Kalyan Jewellers noted that international markets contributed around 11% to its consolidated revenue for the quarter. The update also referenced broader market movements, noting that Titan shares slid 5% after its own Q2 update and that the SENSEX fell over 500 points, with the NIFTY50 below 22,600 ahead of the RBI’s monetary policy decision.

During the September quarter, Kalyan Jewellers launched 12 new Kalyan Jewellers showrooms and nine Candere showrooms across India, and opened one Kalyan Jewellers showroom in the United Kingdom. Looking ahead, the firm plans to open four additional franchise‑model showrooms in the current financial year, with two slated for the third quarter and two for the fourth quarter. The company expressed optimism about the upcoming festive and wedding season, stating it is fully prepared with fresh collections, campaigns and new showroom launches.

NSE data indicated that Kalyan Jewellers shares have delivered nearly 19% returns on a year‑to‑date basis, trading 4% higher over the last five market sessions. However, the stock fell 2.6% over the past month as higher gold prices weighed on demand amid global uncertainty and the centre’s push to reduce reliance on precious metals. Over the longer term, the shares have generated more than 619% returns, over 122% gains on investment, and more than 17% returns in the past year, underscoring strong historical performance.

As of the trading session on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, Kalyan Jewellers’ market capitalisation stood at ₹59,032.05 crore. The company’s robust Q2 performance, combined with its expansion plans and optimistic outlook for the festive season, contributed to the notable share price movement. Investors continue to monitor the impact of gold price fluctuations and macroeconomic factors on demand, while the firm’s strategic showroom roll‑out aims to sustain growth momentum across domestic and international markets.
