Dabur India Shares Rise 3.8% as Q2 FY27 Revenue and PAT Expected to Grow Double‑Digit
Dabur India’s shares surged 3.8% to an intraday high of ₹393.15 on the National Stock Exchange on Tuesday, October 6, following the company’s business update for the July‑September quarter of the 2026‑27 financial year (Q2 FY27). The rise came from a Monday closing price of ₹378.65, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s outlook. The update highlighted steady demand conditions during Q2 FY27 despite a volatile operating environment marked by renewed geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, persistent inflationary pressures across various commodities, and deficit rainfall.
In its regulatory filing, Dabur stated, "We remain optimistic for further acceleration in consumption, supported by the upcoming festive season, while continuing to monitor the evolving geopolitical and inflationary environment." The company expects revenues to record double‑digit growth at a consolidated level, with the India FMCG business projected to sustain its growth momentum and accelerate to double‑digit growth, marking its strongest performance in recent quarters. The company also anticipates its profit after tax (PAT) to continue growing at a double‑digit level, supported by strong business fundamentals, disciplined execution of its growth strategy, enhanced cost competitiveness and digital capabilities.
Segment‑wise expectations for Q2 FY27 show the Home & Personal Care (HPC) business to record double‑digit growth, with hair oils and shampoos delivering high‑teens growth led by robust performance in both perfumed and coconut hair oils, reflecting healthy consumer demand. Oral care is estimated to post mid‑single‑digit growth on a high base, while home care is expected to register high‑single‑digit growth and skin care to grow at double‑digit growth, reflecting strong brand equity across the portfolios. This marks the fourth consecutive quarter of double‑digit growth in HPC.
The healthcare segment is estimated to register record mid‑single‑digit growth, with over‑the‑counter (OTC) & Ethicals expected to register sequential recovery with early‑teens growth. Digestives are projected to continue strong momentum and post high‑teens growth, whereas health supplements were impacted by the ongoing transition to refreshed packaging and labels across the portfolio, resulting in a temporary drag on performance during the quarter.
The Food and Beverages business is expected to record mid‑teens growth, with the Foods segment estimated to continue robust growth momentum with strong double‑digit growth. The Beverages portfolio registered a sequential recovery in the second quarter of FY27 and is likely to grow in the early teens, driven by expanded offerings across formats and price points and a favourable season. Emerging channels, comprising e‑commerce and quick commerce, are expected to report strong growth momentum led by continued investments and an omnichannel distribution approach. Modern Trade continues to grow at double digits, while General Trade continued to grow across both urban and rural markets, with rural continuing to outpace urban, led by continued efforts under Project Saksham.
Internationally, Dabur India’s business is expected to post high‑teens growth in INR terms, with key markets such as Egypt, Turkey, USA, Bangladesh and UK each recording strong double‑digit growth in INR terms in Q2 FY27. The company noted that inflationary pressures remain elevated, particularly in HPC and OTC & Ethicals, impacting operating margins during the quarter; these were partly offset by calibrated price increases and ongoing cost‑saving initiatives. At 1:29 PM, the stock traded 2.26% higher at ₹387.20 per equity share, with a total market capitalisation of ₹68,652.14 crore as of October 6, 2026.
