Transrail Lighting Shares Rise 5% After Securing ₹412 Crore Transmission Order

Transrail Lighting shares surged as much as 5% to touch an intraday high of ₹485.50 on Tuesday, October 6, after the company secured a new order worth ₹412 crore in its core Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business. The order, primarily for domestic transmission line reconductoring using high‑performance carbon‑core HTLS conductors manufactured in‑house, is expected to increase the current‑carrying capacity of transmission lines. The company said the new order will help it cater to new types of projects that use high‑performance carbon‑core HTLS conductors.

Post these new orders, the order intake for the year has grown to ₹2,021 crore, with further L1 orders totalling ₹409 crore. In Q1 FY27, Transrail secured fresh orders worth ₹1,034 crore, along with additional L1 orders worth around ₹400 crore, taking its unexecuted order book to ₹16,035 crore as of June 30, 2026. The company has increased manufacturing capacities to Tower 184,400 MTPA and Conductor 40,800 KMPA, positioning it for profitable growth in both domestic and international T&D markets.

Randeep Narang, MD & CEO of Transrail Lighting, said the company is motivated to see the Government’s thrust for the sector by approving Phase‑III of the Green Energy Corridor, which will strengthen India’s power infrastructure to support the evacuation of 900 GW of non‑fossil fuel‑based generation. He added that the company is well aligned for profitable growth with the increased manufacturing capacities and the tailwinds associated with the T&D sector.
