GCPL Forecasts High‑Teen Revenue Growth Amid Inflationary Pressures

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) on Monday announced that it expects to post high‑teens consolidated revenue growth in the September quarter, driven by healthy demand across markets. The company said that even as inflationary pressures intensified across several commodity‑linked inputs, its consolidated level would deliver another quarter of strong performance with high‑teens revenue growth, high‑single‑digit underlying volume growth and double‑digit EBITDA growth. At the standalone enterprise level, GCPL expects revenue growth in the teens and high‑single‑digit underlying volume growth despite an estimated impact of approximately 100‑150 basis points from trade inventory correction. The performance is supported by healthy growth across both its Personal Care and Home Care portfolios, reflecting broad‑based performance.

The domestic equity market is expected to open flat on Tuesday, October 6, with the GIFT NIFTY futures suggesting that the NIFTY50 index will open 8 points higher. In the same day, crude oil prices declined nearly 2%, with Brent settling at $100.32 a barrel and WTI at $89.43. The fall came as Middle East crude exports increased and G7 nations pledged to boost supplies, although ongoing geopolitical tensions and disruption risks in the region limited the decline. Lower crude prices could offer some relief to oil marketing companies, airlines, paints and other fuel‑intensive sectors, while upstream producers could see pressure on realisations.
