KSB Shares Surge Over 9% After Securing ₹118 Crore Export Order From Dangote Projects

KSB Limited shares rose more than 9% on Wednesday, September 30, after investors reacted to the company’s latest export order update. The industrial‑grade pump manufacturer announced that it had secured a ₹118 crore order from Dangote Projects Free Zone Enterprise, a Dangote Group entity based in Nigeria. The announcement came after market operating hours on September 29, prompting a sharp rally in the morning session as traders priced in the new contract.

In an exchange filing, KSB disclosed that it had received a significant export order from Dangote Projects Free Zone Enterprise for the supply of a boiler feed pump package to the Nigerian entity. The company stated that the order reinforces its strong capabilities in delivering high‑efficiency, engineered pumping solutions for critical process applications and further strengthens its presence in the international fertiliser and energy sectors.

NSE data showed that KSB shares rallied 9.11% to touch an intraday high of ₹900 apiece on Wednesday’s market, compared to ₹824.80 at the previous equity market close. Trading volumes surpassed 3.5 million equity shares across NSE and BSE combined, triggering the high‑volume gain during the morning market hours on September 30. After touching the day’s high, the company’s stock retracted its gains yet was trading around 5% higher at approximately ₹866.95 per share.

As per the order details, KSB will export around 18 boiler feed pump packages to Dangote Projects Free Zone Enterprise, worth $12,400,051 or $12.4 million, which is approximately ₹118 crore. The company highlighted that the order reinforces its strong capabilities in delivering high‑efficiency, engineered pumping solutions for critical process applications and further strengthens its presence in the international fertiliser and energy sectors.

Sharing guidance for H2 FY27, KSB’s management said that the second half of the financial year is estimated to be better than the first half, as the company expects the export disruptions to ease and the supply chain dynamics to stabilise. The company aims to achieve double‑digit growth in the financial year 2026‑27. KSB’s managing director said that volumes are expected to grow in the range of 10‑15%, with a key focus on covering what the pump maker lost in the first half of the year. Earlier this week, KSB also informed investors that the trading window for key managerial personnel will be closed from October 1, 2026, up to 48 hours after the quarterly results announcement as the company prepares for the upcoming Q2 earnings.

NSE data showed that KSB shares have delivered more than 254% returns to investors in the last five years, nearly 45% gains in the last three years, and more than 5% returns on their investments in the past one‑year period. On a year‑to‑date basis, the company’s stock has risen more than 16% so far this year and has given over 7.3% returns on investment in the last one‑month period.
